It didn't get better but it was about the same and addictive enough to keep someone with nothing better to do hooked.
The best thing about season 2 was again Seth (Adam Brody) and his strange relationship with Summer (Rachel Bilson). At the end of the first season he took off on a boat when Ryan (Ben McKenzie) returned home, figuring that he'd go back to being a nobody.
His wisecracking, insecure, sarcastic nature is what makes the show watchable and it would be very dull without him. The Spiderman rip-off (which is in the picture) was pretty great and it was clever how they set it up.
The odd thing about season 2 was the lesbian relationship Marissa got into. I don't know where they were coming from, perhaps it was supposed to show another side to her rebellion.
I have watched quite a bit of season 3 and will review it when finished.
