Before Friends, there was Mad About You and it's finally been released on DVD for me to watch again.I picked up season 1 a few days ago and have been going through the episodes in the spare time. It took one or two to get going but once it did it was a very funny and sweet show.
I always had kind of a crush on Helen Hunt from these days, her character Jamie was sweet but neurotic and passionate. Paul Reiser played his character for laughs but the best actor on the show was the dog Murray.
I just watched the classic where Jamie gets a new job and office and wants to celebrate the same day that Paul's film gets passed on by PBS. His `defeat party' was hilarious.
It's great to get to relive these classic programs.
